“Fabulous way to engage even the most reluctant learner in the literacy area. Children are always keen to get the tiles out and challenge each other to make the most words or the best sentence.”
“The kids have loved playing with the tiles. They worked well introduced in small groups. From there they have been an amazing game for early finishes or just a game at playtimes. The kids love the freedom of being able to make up their own games. They also loved exploring the tiles.”

Parents have shared with me that their children were using the tiles they have at home to spell words and play games. It has been inspiring them to continue their learning at home. A wonderful add on benefit.
“These tiles have been a wonderful way of exploring the alphabet for the children in my class. They enjoy playing with them and have been able to create many different games from them, they are an open ended tool”
“My class absolutely loved these tiles. We made up so many different games as well as linking it to our unit of Money. The children loved the challenge of making up different games and setting new challenges such as the incorporation of a timer etc and modifying rules. Love it School Kit! Thank you.”

“The children were really engaged with the activities, in particular using the fishing rods to fish out letters. It was really good for developing knowledge of alphabet letter name/sound knowledge. The only challenge with the kit was the upper case letters, although there were benefits to that too. I can see this kit having regular place in our literacy time.”

The children developed an interest in magnets after using the fishing rods.
“We loved using the tiles to support our learning of letters and their sounds. The children were engaged motivated and made connections to the collection of tiles they have at home and their favourite Disney characters.. The additional resources of the sandwich game and word chart were also well received. We used the sandwich items as a prompt for writing, using them to write simple sentences about the foods we like to eat. It also prompted lots of talk about healthy vs treat food.”
