What did you notice about student engagement in the learning with the DIY World Records Kit? The students enjoyed trying each others' ideas and trying to break or create a ";World Record";. There was a lot of upside down challenges and singing involved.
This kit generated wonderful crazy ideas from the kids and they didn't even realise that they were learning along the way! Accurate measuring, recording of data, imaginative ideas, physical activity ... We had a look at the Guinness Books of World Records and then got creative from there - within the safety parameters of school!

What did you notice about student engagement in the learning with the DIY World Records Kit? This was an 100% engagement activity. The children want to do more so we've said we'll do a redo in Term 4 and have a World Records station at our Learning Celebration Evening. They are going to challenge the community. It's been fun and they have sincere
Coming back from my broken ankle and unexpected family bereavement to this was a real boost for me irrespective of the children as the activities are 'light', 'fun', 'creative' and the level of engagement has been absolutely massive. Every child in Dudley achieved success including our children with learning differences. The children were so keen they involved and challenged parents and other classes and staff in taking them on to beat their records. Our Deputy Principal has seen a number of kits and she has never really commented on them but this she did, she thought it was absolutely fantastic. We also have a wonderful classroom display.

What did you notice about student engagement in the learning with the DIY World Records Kit? Awesome group work, so focussed on what they were doing.
My year 5 and 6 students loved the World Record kit. They were so engaged and motivated to make a world record. They loved all the research leading up to their own record. They loved trying to beat some other records. This kit encompassed both maths and literacy. (I’m sorry I don’t have any photos, I went into early labour before I got the chance to take some).

What did you notice about student engagement in the learning with the DIY World Records Kit? The students absolutely loved this School kit. There were lots of very innovative records that included pillows, hardboiled eggs, cups of water and lots more. The rest of the school were enthralled by what they saw the Senior students doing. Thanks so muc
Top reviews by all those that took part.

What did you notice about student engagement in the learning with the DIY World Records Kit? Fully engaged and excited. Made math very real and useful!
Wow - what a great kit - children inspired and collaborating. The maths links were perfect - fitted in well with what else we were doing. A great unit for the end of term. Loved their curiosity and diversity.

What did you notice about student engagement in the learning with the DIY World Records Kit? They were excited right from the first lesson looking at current world records!
The students LOVED this kit. The structure of making a record made it really easy and our students enjoyed coming up with the strangest 'add something crazy' section. It took a lot more time than I realised, especially with doing the actual records - something to consider if you are planning on doing this kit.

What did you notice about student engagement in the learning with the DIY World Records Kit? Almost all the students were excited about using this kit. They were intrinsically motivated to complete a record.
The students really enjoyed this kit. They enjoyed having the choice of what record they wanted to create; most incorporated their hobbies into their record. I like the fact they were using measurement in different ways.

What did you notice about student engagement in the learning with the DIY World Records Kit? For an end of term focus, this kit kept the students engaged and motivated, in fact it was all they wanted to do!!
This kit was amazing. We linked it in with our measurement unit towards the end of the term. It also gave the students a clear example of resilience in action. Students challenged each others world records, meaning they then had to go back and up their game to become number 1 again. I would recommend this kit to everyone and will 100 % be continuing this challenge across the next term.
