What did you notice about student engagement in the learning with the DIY World Records Kit? I found that the students were really engaged. At times they didn't couldn't believe that they were doing Maths. Quote"; Are you sure this is actually maths?"; It was a great way to tie together maths, PE and team work. Overall great kit!!
As a class we had a great time creating our own records and then competing for the world record title holder. It was a great programme for students to practice their measurement skills but to also create a world record that was achievable. It allowed students to design a record then practice it and then make changes were necessary. Fantastic learning was had.

What did you notice about student engagement in the learning with the DIY World Records Kit? Students were really interested in trying to break each other's records, not to mention ones we found on the website. I think the planning should be simpler, the wording of the world records took a lot of scaffolding that the kids needed in order to be ab
This was an amazing kit that engaged kids in finding out what a world record is, how to achieve one and encouraged them to set their own.

My students had such a fun time creating their own unique records. They were able to be creative, crazy and competitive. Would recommend this to other schools! Will definitely be using this again with my students in the future

What did you notice about student engagement in the learning with the DIY World Records Kit? They liked the resources provided: timers &; measurement tapes. The cards etc were very eye catching so that already excited them. They like challenges and being able to ‘win’ something; even if it will be a first that they set their own world record.
What is there to not love?! The kit provided relevant, creative and fun ways to teach a measurement unit and literacy too. We ended up doing a spontaneous EOTC trip to a local Whitewater Park to Kayak and have pre-created some records we’d like to beat or test. Thank you School Kit! The students of Room 8 have truly enjoyed themselves... (especially that student that set the record for: Most two hand paddles in 20 seconds - he threw his paddle away in utter joy that he beat the top one then realised he needed his paddle so he had to tip over to retrieve it haha).

What did you notice about student engagement in the learning with the DIY World Records Kit? The students loved that it could be silly and hands on. The actual doing and seeing if they could improve and try one anothers records was fantastic! The maths in regards to accurate measuring, timing etc was most valuable.
This was the best kit I've ever done from school kit. You guys just keep getting better and better!!! How do you guys keep being so innovative and awesome?

Fantastic resource - the students really enjoyed coming up with interesting ideas to challenge themselves. We had an amazing collection of World Record attempts - hopefully some of them are genuine records.
