What was the most unique record achieved and why? I am not sure if this was unique but it was the toughest and surprisingly created a lot of cometition with the students who could participate. World record : Fastest shoe lace tying of 5 shoes, blindfolded using bunny hole technique and ending with a double knot. This created a discussion around world records are are not inclusive and how they can be made specifically for the talents and skills of one or some.

What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? Mathematics, English, EOTC, Health & PE, Arts. The arts was not expected but we had records that required drawing, singing and some that didn't make it to our line up even had dance and musical instruments.
This kits was an amazing unit to tackle at the end of the year. We spent those messy weeks around testing assembly practice and other term 4 events looking at, pulluing appart and creating our DIY World Records. The coolest part was, we took the records with us to our week long camp in Wellington. They were perfect to do in any down time we had and even before bed. The parents got involved and it became a huge competition to be the record holder. As we were going around Wellington we thought of other records we could make too. I will be using this kit over and over. It really engaged the students and they didn't even know they we diving into many areas of the NZC. Well done School Kit, you have outdone yourselves!

What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? History of world records in NZ
If you are looking for a resources to follow a study on the Olympics or Commonwealth Games, this resource is it. Set up to run your own version of 'World Records' the kids have fun creating weird and wacky records to break. Allow yourself a lot of time to pull these all off though (creating in a group instead of individuals will be a better option).

What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? Maths, local stories, te reo (Sorry my videos and photos have been deleted. We had a couple left of some data collection)
We had fun coming up with ideas for what types of records we could break. In the end, we chose to go with who could say the longest place name the fastest. It was a great way to tie in statistics, decimals and time. Thanks, School Kit!
