What was the most unique record achieved and why? fastest matchbox car to cross the classroom. We had to have so many discussions around the criteria, after so much discussion it was amazing how interpretations could bend, which led to more discussion, which led to more attempts and modifications. So much thinking!

This kit was fabulous, providing some great across curiculum learning for students. We really liked investigating what World Records exist, and creating our own. The superlative lesson that supported the learners vocabulary to create a world record was particulary benefical for the ESOL learners in the class, and set us up to have all the componets of a great record. Most importantly this kit was FUN!

What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? Writing (superlatives), Inquiry (following our unit on Olympic values), Maths (measurement).
My students were very excited by the premise of this kit - to create their own world records. The World Record Secret Formula was easy for my students to understand and follow. They loved coming up with creative ideas for each part of their world record title and had a blast with their world record attempts. The recording cards, timers, tapes and badges added a brilliant touch of authority and authenticity to the whole experience and the flags were a wonderful way to display the results. A great kit that I will definitely use again!
