How did the kit components encourage mathematical thinking for your students?
The kit components encouraged students to apply their mathematical and measurement skills to measure the records in a variety of ways. They needed a deep understanding of measurement concepts in order to plan out their records, because they needed to think about how they would measure it and make it fair. They needed to consider which tools would be most effective and what the most accurate way to measure would be.
