What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? Research - record holders, PE, Statistics, Class Culture
The DIY World Records Schoolkit box has been a fun activity for us to explore during the final weeks of term. Students in my class enjoy competition and so they value the 'challenge' factor. It also has been good for including student voice within the class, as they have come up with creative ideas to set records for. It gave students opportunities to showcase interesting strengths or differences in a positive light.

What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? Other than maths and literacy, the big one for us was social sciences - while exploring the current records through GNR, we had a lot of conversations about countries and different cultures around the world.
This kit is a fantastic, fun and super engaging kit to do with children of all ages. My Year 6-8 class loved this kit, although we primarily used it with our Year 6 cohort. We had a lot of fun exploring some of the current Guinness World Records, especially the really odd ones before we had a go at creating our own. What followed was four weeks of record-breaking competition, of all types! A great way to incorporate many areas of the currilcum.

What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? Maths, Literacy, English language learning.
Great resource - I have used this with a math and language focus for my English Language Learners. The cards are helpful as prompts for them to put together sentences and think of the parts they will need to include. In addition we were able to use math language alongside the records that the students were measuring - made it a fun activity to boost their language and learning.
