“I have not used the kit as yet as we are integrating it into a story telling unit that will link in with a unit of work focused on Story Telling. We will be exploring aspects of the past in conjunction with this so am looking forward to incorporating the kit then. I will be undertaking this unit of work in Term 3. Originally it was to happen in Term 2 but the lockdown etc cahnged our plans.”

What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? Literacy through listening, reading and speaking we did dance and visual arts and talking about differances fitted into our HPE also

What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? Great technology - English links. Although its not really a curriculum areas as such, it has been wonderful to hear the different cultural perspectives of the learners that have come out of this kit

“We didn't have a lot of time to do much with this due to the lockdown but everything was, as always beautifully made and designed. We have used the question card when we have a few minutes to wait and its been awesome to hear the stories about why the kids have chosen as they have. We've also use the design cards as a springboard into design projects or for kids who say 'I don;t know what to do' during play based learning. We're looking forward to using some of the other things next term :)”

What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? For the activities we were able to complete before lock down- I integrated the activities into literacy, social studies, the arts and STEM.

“Thanks so much for once again creating a wonderful kit. We started the kit in term 1, then unfortunately Lockdown happened. My students loved doing the STEM challenges, reading about Kohai and doing the taniko art. Involving the parents was great and gave us lots to talk about.”
