“I thought it was a fantastic kit, unfortunately I didn't get to use it with my current 5 year olds. I felt it was a bit to advanced for them. I'm hoping I may get to use it later in the year when they are more settled and have a few more skills up their sleeves. Thank you for the excellent service.”

“We started to use the exploring kit before lock down. we enjoyed using the map and role playing different ways we explore. Unfortunately we didn't get to do all the activities. I will definitely continue to use aspects of the kit especially for drama and tuning into new units of work.”

What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? Cross-curricular learning is something I have been particularly interested in this year so I was very pleasantly surprised at how useful this kit was for that in terms of the ability to incorporate our inquiry learning into other curriculum areas.

What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? We enjoyed having the options to explore this topic through a range of learning areas such as music, dance, drama, literacy. They were hands on experiences suited for children who like to move around lot's!

“The Explorer Kit for Years 0-3 was just what our class needed this year for our inquiry theme. It was fantastic to be able to reuse the kit in the future and explore exploration through stories. We are a play based learning environment so using stories is how we explore learning in our space. This kit has definitely encouraged us to explore our own whanau stories and write our mihi alongside our families.”

How did you find the open format of this kit? Great. I think it would be a brilliant kit when we are not swimming etc - as it took a lot of time away from it. We also looked at other countries legends, and the children acted out in Learning thru play.
