“Love the integration of Te Reo as I am a bilingual class. Love the resources! I could use the cards provided on Seesaw and my class Fb. The questioning to promote higher order thinking is aligned with the current school professional development around relationship based learning and linking those to the national standards and helping provide examples of these.”

How did you find the open format of this kit? I personally needed to be guided a bit more on how to use it. I found it a bit confusing and found the info on the website too time consuming to try and go through it all (watch all the videos).

“I found this kit a bit harder to use as I was unsure how to fully make use of the contents. Being in lock down obviously threw up additional problems for working with juniors. I chose to hold onto my kit until we returned to school. While I know I have to give feedback by the 15th June, I was grateful to receive an email giving me additional ideas on how to use the kit and I'm now looking forward to doing several activities. We've nearly finished our comic strips about Kupe (my Year 2s are loving this!) and then we're going to move onto doing a simple family tree, interviewing our families to find out 'our stories', some facts about whales, and then maybe even end the term (start next term) with continuing to look at myths. They've made several links to Kupe and Maui.”

How did you find the open format of this kit? I initially found it difficult to get my head around but the more time I spent looking at the kit the more I became excited about it! It definitely helps to have a support network through your Facebook page. That helped me tremendously.
