It took a little to orientate and understand how I could use this in the classroom. I love that there are reusable equipment, such as the prompt dice. What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? I really loved the question cards. This allowed for cross-curricular learning between writing and inquiry. The counters were also awesome for incorporating Maths- as that is a subject I find mostly hard to cross-curricular.

“From the moment I first opened the Exploring kit I was blown away by the resources developed. There were so many great resources and so many different paths you could go down. I loved the support material that showcased what you could do with each resource. I really love the dice- but one thing I would love is if they came in a bigger size. Small dice, especially for NEs is not really ideal. Big is better. Unfortunately due to Covid-19 I was not able to finish the box and take photos.”

What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? The story telling dice enable this topic to be apart of reading as well as inquiry. It allows the children to explore further into the texts that they are reading during reading time.

“Although we are yet to complete using this kit, what we have explored has opened up further avenues to develop. Our children had virtually no knowledge of myths so really enjoyed being introduced to this concept. They really enjoyed the albatross facts, clips and drawing exercises and when able to, we will go to the museum to the bird hall there to extend this knowledge. Now that we are able to share materials and create things again, we are going to create extensions to the thing/that/for cards which will target the children's problem solving strategies.”
