“Bulls School thought the Farm Kit was Education-a-bull. It taught has loads about the ins and outs of farming in a fun and hands-on approach. We have a lot children from farms in our class which really thrived and enjoyed sharing their knowledge as well as ESOL students who knew not a lot. It was a great opportunity for the students who knew a lot about farming to become experts to the others, which created an awesome collaborative learning community. It really got our journey into STEM underway also, which was exciting.”

“Unfortunately, our trip was cancelled due to lockdown. I teach new entrants/Year 1, so the kit was too hard for them to use. I like the website, and will continue to use it as a resource. Thank you for the links to other farming books, and the songs. I like the large mat, and the use of Te Reo Maori. The children enjoyed this mat most of all. I would have liked a more simple version. Just plain picture/photos of farm animals with English/Te Reo captions. We could then use them as a useful ongoing game for memory/bingo. I like the idea of the dice, but once again would have preferred pictures on the dice (farm animals/farmers/farm equipment) because then they could have been used as an independent game. Many thanks for the kit. It is a shame that Covid-19 disrupted our farm trip.”

“I found it tough to do after the lockdown as we worked more on emotional and social wellbeing units and lessons from te rito toi. Before lockdown, it was difficult as covid 19 was just starting and things like the farm/farmer trip was cancelled which would have been a brilliant hands on experience.”
