What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? Linking reading and writing into inquiry learning. Lots of books that can be linked in and allow for independently guided learning. Art - my students loved the farm of 100 greens - we did this with pastels. They looked amazing (sorry no photos!)

What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? We made maths stories with animals on the farm, fence posts needed to build fences, stock being sold and bought. There was a great deal of oral language speaking and listening. The students loved listening and reading books about farming.

What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? I could see how this would work with cross-curricular very well. We worked it in with reading which fitted our needs. I am going to do this again next year and integrate into topics we had planned.

How did you find the open format of this kit? The children loved the activities we did, especially the dice rolling game. some activities led discussions into other areas which was great. It helped being a semi rural school as many of the children could draw from experience.

“Obviously this year has been difficult and I only used your kit this term as part of our Farming inquiry (what do farms provide for us?). It was useful but we peeled it right back for year 1s. I jumped at this kit because I had been told how great they are but there are not many for Year 0/1s. This Kit was a little high levelled I felt, but in a different year, it may have been different.”
