What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? The kit enabled lots of cross-curricular learning. We were able to design, created and share our farm creations. We also looked at the process of growing seeds.

How did you find the open format of this kit? I found it a little confusing at first because i was unsure of what I could do in a play based classroom. After seeing what others were doing online it really helped.

What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? We didn't get to explore much across the curriculum as we went into lockdown. It was also a shame that our planned farm visit was cancelled due to Covid 19.

“The big poster and story promoted a lot of discussion from my students, allowing them to connect with things they had had experience with on a farm, as our school is part of a rural community. They loved using the story cards to retell and make up their own stories.”

What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? We looked at it through play-based learning. Used it to help write stories about the farm. We will be looking at different jobs in the coming term and how this was one that was deemed to be essential over the lockdown period.

“Unfortunately once I had ordered the kit my role in my school changed to 2 days Senior ESOL teacher and 1 day PE teacher. As yet I have not used the kit but hope to use it by the end of the year. The resources all look great inside the kit.”

“The farming box had a good couple of resources - for example, the dice and the poster. I personally found that the material was pitched too high for our junior kids. The other materials weren't as practical in the classroom. The students loved the big poster and it caught their interest.”
