What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? I used maths (sorting and grouping) of animals, oral language and writing and we used Mrs Wishy Washy (cleaning her farm animals) in our big book reading so it did link in well. We didn't get to science, I was planning to get into that when lockdown occur

“This is a tricky review as we had just started getting into it when lockdown started. I teach year 1 students (most of whom had just started school in Term 1) so we spent time using the farm map in a play based format - lots of animals with some online viewing to provoke interest. We are very urban (Titirangi) so we had just started making connections. I think it would have been great had we had more time.”

“Once again another fantastic resource to have the privilege of recieving. We used this resource as a base for a reading to learn unit about different types of farming. My students were hooked. Their top favorite farms were fish, bees, chickens, worm and of course dairy. A few students went down the orchard and vegetable path as a type of farm. We've been so busy I forgot to snap a few photos.”
