We were not able to do much due to Covid-19. I think that the learners would enjoy the games and would able to play it idenpendenlty once taught the instructions. This would of been a great way to connect with our local community too.

What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? We connected it to our Inquiry Enviroschools learning around Living Landscapes. We used many ideas for writing motivations and oral language sessions.

How did you find the open format of this kit? I preferred it to others, once I got my head around how it worked. I am now looking at the same format in the Respectful Relationships and it is easy to navigate. Just a learning experience for me.

We enjoyed the kit activities in our collaborative Yr 0-2 class. The children loved the videos, which promoted a lot of discussion. We found we had some in-house experts, which allowed them to have their moment in the spotlight. We were excited to plan our trip to a local farm, but unfortunately that got cancelled due to Covid! As a teacher, I love that someone has done the research and gathered together all relevant resources so they are at my finger tips. As there were several options for any one idea, it allowed me to differentiate for my learners too, so not a one size fits all programme.

Resources are wonderful, and it turned out to be so timely, study can continue in that it was our agriculture that supplied income, supported our export trade as the world needs to eat, during this time of covid-19.

How did you find the open format of this kit? I liked the format - easy to pick and choose activities and also add to them. Was a shame to be cut short half way through.

My class really enjoyed the farming kit prior to lockdown and some children continued on to do a couple of activities at home. We had just done the farm map at school before lockdown so some had another go at this at home and extended it to make 3d models. We also did the STEM activity at home - I have only managed to get one photo to upload. This boy made a tractor that could count chickens. I ended up with a Year 3/4 class and quite a number of children live on farms so we needed some extension activities but plenty of info provided to allow us to do this. Thank you - we really enjoyed the activities we were able to do.

How did you find the open format of this kit? Quite good, although it definitely takes a good solid 'look- through' to get the hang of the format before launching in. With Yr 1's its good to take structured approach, so next time I will look carefully at the resources and make a more structured plan

It was so exciting to receive the kit! Very impressive packaging and fantastic resources. I have a year 1 class - almost all 5 year olds and I began with the book Çow Power'by Kim Riley., which the kids absolutely loved. Next came the big farming picture, and although I read the Fiona and the Very Bad Storm, the kids kept relating this story, from the kit, back to the other story (not that this was a problem) . They loved looking at the farmimg picture and we had some good discussions about how the cows got to the shed etc. We did the science task with white flowers, and although they were interested, I'm not sure how much they took in re why farmers plant next to waterways. The poem Thunder had lots of unknown words, and would need more 'unpacking' for the 5 year olds to fully understand it. We did discuss it though - I had thought of dramatising it for them to really engage with it. The art project (which we were about to start) is fantastic. I will definitely still do this! The Invent your own Farm is also a great idea - yet to do - but exactly the type of thing little people like to create. My plan is to use playdough and photocopied pictures to create this scene. My feedback in general is that Year 1 are still at the early stages of their learning, and although not a criticism of the kit (its excellent!) as Yr 1 teachers we often find ourselves simplifying activities differently so it fits their age ... remembering they are mostly not yet independent readers or writers. The videos on the website are excellent - loved the Ronnies Story of Milk - easy to see the sequence and the next best thing if you can't visit a real farm! Back at school, whenever that may be, we will be continuing with this learning. It is also really easy to pick it up again next year as the resources are made of quality materials and can be reused, which I think is important. Keep up the great work!

What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? The cards are great - I love that they are open ended which caters for all levels within the classroom - especially having the scope to extend the more able students.

How did you find the open format of this kit? I love the way the kit is set out - because of Covid 19, I wasn't able to fully use the kit, but I took some ideas for the boys to use at home.

As always School Kit - a fantastic kit with great ideas. You do all the hard work so we can make it as integrated as possible. It's so awesome having the links and suggestions that support the activities. The kit is appropriately based and I love that it's not a one off, that I can use the kit again. It's great
