“The kit was really relevant to us here in a Rural school. It was great for the students to explore and learn about the experiences of others who have grown up in similar settings and to know that the world is larger than just here in our area!
Once again the resources within the kit were easy to use, rich and really engaged the students as they dug deeper through the interviews and made many great connections to their own lives!

“Kids really enjoyed reading the initial letters and plotting on a map where the authors farms were. A great kit for teaching interview techniques and writing formal emails to thank the people they interviewed. We were able to use Google slides to display our favorite qoutes. We all loved it”
“Thank you for including us in the Grass Roots programme! We are really enjoying reading and learning about famous NZers who have grown up on farms, their experiences, values gained and further used from those, and their personal stories. We are finding many connections with close relatives with students in our class, others in our school community and also in our wider community. Interviews are about to happen and we are working towards gathering all we learn together for a display. Progress has been slower than it might have been, due to the busyness of our winter term...skiing/ ice skating/ sports/sickness.Hopefully we can still submit said findings later in the month?”
