In what ways did the kit allow development of strategic thinking for your students? My students learnt a lot about not rushing into a task by taking time to read and re-read instructions, look clues that were not obvious and most importantly, to listen to each other's ideas.

In what ways did the kit allow development of strategic thinking for your students? Most of children loved the problem solving and the story behind Jean Batten. Some were unable to unpack the problem, let allow know how to tackle it. My class last year would have loved it!

In what ways did the kit allow development of strategic thinking for your students? Collaboratively working on these tasks, helping each other allowed students to share strategies to be successful - the Morse code activity was a particular challenging favourite!

In what ways did the kit allow development of strategic thinking for your students? The challenges were tricky and the students needed to work together to try and figure it out. There was a lot of trial and error with the buzz planes and deciphering the morse code.

“The Jean Batten Kit was out of the this world! The challenges were hard but engaging (Yr 5-6). It took me a while to wrap my head around how it all worked as there was so much you could do. My class and I have all learned so much about this NZ icon. A++ would highly recommend this kit. We spent about 3 weeks completing it!”
