“Thanks so much for providing yet another engaging kit. The students really enjoyed the practical activities and linking the learning to a New Zealand context. As the teacher, I found breaking down the expectations a bit more difficult this time round and I would have liked a video or picture examples of some tasks as I found the manual a bit tricky. I had to undergo the challenges first myself to be able to troubleshoot with my students later. The buzz planes were a big hit as was the plane making and throwing.

“This was a well though out and well resourced STEM based kit! Fun to use and inspired the tamariki to find out more. My only problem was that I didnt have enough resources for my classs of 32 tamariki and so I took it with 2 groups and one group missed out and had to do something else.”

We found it a little trick that after the first section the activities seemed to be reasonably stand-alone so the students struggled a little understanding why they needed to follow the process that we said.”

“This was a fantastic kit that we all absolutely loved! We did it across a whole day and into the next. I dressed up and made it like a proper mystery solving day. The resources were easy to follow and of a really high quality. We particularly enjoyed making the darts - we hung hoops from the ceiling to aid our precision flying! WE loved the outside game too where we crossed the ocean and followed the flight path of Jean! Our kids loved building the bristle planes and we had an excellent duel! This kit helped to set us off on an inquiry about different kinds of codes. We loved that learning too and incorporated this into our reading programme. A++ Thank you for an incredible kit! “This was an engaging and well recieved kit which we used for extension and challenge for a group of keen Year 4's. Elements of the kit were also used in our regular Year 3/4 classes with those kids who had already experienced it having the advantage of being experts. We are also using the knowledge to create a great display for our library.”
“We really enjoyed doing this but like others found that the codes were in some cases difficult to crack especially for Year 4 children. We also found that it was very tricky for little hands to strip the wires for the Buzz machine and had some broken wires.”
