How has this kit influenced your confidence in STEM teaching and learning? I thought the activities were just so fun and engaging that the students really wanted to learn more about Jean Batten. We did this as part of a Heroes/Heroines unit so it fit in really well.

In what ways did the kit allow development of strategic thinking for your students? We explored other websites to learn about the morse code and pigpen code. The games provided us with experiences to engage in some great collaborative discussion where we had to learn about important roles in enable success.

How has this kit influenced your confidence in STEM teaching and learning? Students loved cracking the code and the STEM opportunities that making the planes provided them with. The testing also gave the students some great hands on problem solving challenges. These kits cater a lot for STEM opportunities with our students.

In what ways did the kit allow development of strategic thinking for your students? I had the groups set up as mixed ability so there was always an expert in each group depending on the task. I think the time taken here really helped the success experienced.

In what ways did the kit allow development of strategic thinking for your students? it was great to see children collaborate to solve problems in a range of ways. We also took the paper plane task a bit further and developed their planes to see what improvements they could make.
