“Jean Batten - Aviator. This resource was very useful for my Yr 5/6 class. The resources caters for both diverse learning including STEAM aspects learning. Eg. my students were learning how to make a buzz plan, constructing warplanes, using paper, while learning to read moss code. I found it fun and enganing .”

How has this kit influenced your confidence in STEM teaching and learning? This kit has definitely developed my confidence in delivering a multi-layered STEM challenge, that lasts for a much longer time than previous STEM challenges I've been involved with.

“This was an amazing kit that my Year 6 students thoroughly enjoyed. The morse code deciphering was probably the most challenging element for them. We loved how their were so many different linked activities, which had them moving around the classroom and using so many different skills. The tips added by other teachers was really helpful too, especially for the Buzz planes. Thanks so much!”

In what ways did the kit allow development of strategic thinking for your students? Lots of good problem solving , wiring together to solve abs write the codes - the anagram kept one group busy ! The paper plane challenges were fun - and they were determined to come up with better ways to hit the targets.
