“This is an interesting kit with flexible lessons. The electrical components - batteries and LEDs didn't work very well and I had to spend nearly $100 to buy enough working 9volt batteries, connectors and new LEDs for our hub. The students loved the electric playdough, storytelling, and the Rube Goldberg lessons. As usual, the term filled up with many un timetabled practises etc, so I was not able to teach every lesson I had planned. I liked how the lessons and the resources were very flexible in how you used them.”

“The activities were very useful and easy for the children to use and access. They were simple enough that the students could understand the learning behind it. There were a variety of ideas and tools to use that involved materials but also activities that didnt involve any extra materials.”

What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? So many wonderings that the students had! This kit promoted team work, curiosity, questioning and hypothesizing and encouraged them to think deeper about how the world works around them, especially electricity!!

Next time I use this kit I would love to get the students to do a research project on something that interests them that has a circuit! Would also love to go down the solar route a bit more!
