What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? Encouraged the younger children to be much more aware, enthusiastic and involved in the school plantings, gardens, watering and planning.

In what ways did this kit give opportunity for cross-curricular learning? Measurement - tied into our unit Writing - They created vegetable superhero’s and villains and created a narrative around these characters. Science - planting out into our school garden and learning about what plants need to survive Haoura - enjoyment

What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? Next term we are continuing to garden and grow and will look at baking with the resulting produce, linking in to more work around haoura, healthy eating and wellness.

What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? lots. We are going to continue doing what we are doing but taking it further. Next term we are looking at technology and we will look at tech needed for a sustainable food source.

What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? continuing to grow our plants in the school garden, eating them and cooking them! Making recipes, experiments...so much to take from this and extend on!

What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? We are starting our own class garden where we will grow vegetables and fruits.

In what ways has this kit improved students awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? The kids are bringing more fruit and vegetables in their lunch. They can't wait to try some of the food that we grow and have created our own vegetable garden.

“My class loved seeing the plants growing in the classroom. They filled the forms in with their families and they take their job in the garden club very seriously. This is an awesome resource and has keep their focus all term. The service is wonderful and they answer questions very quickly.”

“What a fantastic resource for my classroom of 28 year one and two children. They were so excited to get their little gardens started. They were a little disappointed at the types of seeds they got - but it was a great learning tool to teach them about flowers/vegetables they may have not known about before. With a big class, it is very much appreciated that so many are sent - it would never have been manageable otherwise!”

In what ways has this kit improved students awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? We discussed the vegetables grown and which ones are healthy. In term 4 we will be discussing healthy lunch boxes and designing our own healthy lunch box meals ( similar to Hello Fresh). The kit set was a great catalyst for vege discussions.

“My class of Year 1 children related really well to the growing kitset. some of the codes were difficult, but we solved them together. They thoroughly enjoyed identifying with each vegetable character in the kit set. The children enjoyed watching their plants grow. I thought that the club badges were a good idea and personalised the activities. The extra books and videos were very helpful for further research.”
