In what ways did this kit give opportunity for cross-curricular learning? Good for writing and reading- instructions for a recipe and we used the carrot club resources on twinkle to tie into reading and learning the vegetables in Te Reo Maori
What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? - Te Reo Maori- learning vegetables - made cartoon vegetable characters and described them
In what ways has this kit improved students awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? Trying new vegetables, making healthy recipes
Thoroughly enjoyed and engaging activities. The kids loved watching the seeds grow and the code cracker. The only thing is that we did find that the timing with the school holidays meant that some kids plants didn’t actually grow before then. The badges were also very flimsy and most broke within the first day.

The Little Garden League was a 'hit' with our young children. The real excitement was when the seedlings pushed their heads through the growing mix. The room exploded with questions like... how long do we have to wait before we can put them into our garden? How long before I can eat my carrots?

The topic tied in perfectly with our topic of sustainability and Garden to Table. The children were very excited at the sell of a secret club and the badges. As children are often not in charge at home they were able to influence home decisions around healthy foods and trying new things through it being a special select club.
