What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? Caring for a living thing.
Hello and thank you very much for our package of the little gardens. Our early years classes used these and they learnt a lot about how to care for seeds and plants. We had our ups and downs when someone watered them too much and when no one watered them at all. We were grateful there were so many boxes so we could make some more. We also shared them with two teacher aides, one who works with a child with autism and the other who works with trauma-affected behaviours. Connecting to living things is such a great opportunity for our children and we thank you very much for your kind gift. We even have some left to start the year off with in 2024.

This was such an amazing kit for our tamariki. We used this with our year 0-2 students during Discovery Time. All the children were engaged in learning about different vegetables that they hadn't heard of before. The students lived planting different seeds independently and caring for them during the term. All the extra games and badges were also a wonderful surprise for the children. We also created some healthy meal recipes. Amazing resource for anyone thinking of what to do in 2024 for playbased learning or Inquiry.
