Great activities to go with the very exciting planting. Our seedlings have all gone home and most of them are now flourishing in the children's gardens. The children loved watching the whole growing process and the badges are always very popular.

What an amazing growth I have witnessed in my learners vocabulary as the explored this kit. Our class discussions are rich with questions and debates about how best to ensure our plants reach their potential. We took our responsibilities to care for our seedlings very seriously and became kaitiaki of our own little gardens. Thank you so much for this resource as it opens our learners eyes to a world of possibilities.

My year 1 and 2 students vocabulary has grown tremendously. From watching the soil tablets swell as they absorbed the water to the sprouting seedlings we have enjoyed wonderful discussions about our discoveries. As we head into the holidays we are leaving our plants under the watchful eye of our caretaker and have a kitchen chemistry unit planned to use these wonderful ingredients. This kit is a wonderful unit in itself, but also a truly fabulous springboard to so many other learning opportunities and a great way to encourage our students to explore gardening.

The students loved receiving the kit. They have planted the seeds and watched them germinate. They are amazed by how the seedlings are bending towards the light. The students have enjoyed decoding the messages. We are waiting eagerly for the badges to arrive.

What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? It can literally fall into any part of the curriculum. We did lots of procedual writing and diary keeping. Health, and lots of playbased tea parties and resturants.

In what ways has this kit improved student awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? We have lunch in chool too and this has helped the children with tasting and giving new things a go. The children are very excited to see our veggies grow big.

The kids love this box every time. What better way to start spring. Easy for the year 1s to partisipate in. and I love the grow, protect, taste.

In what ways has this kit improved student awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? That they can grow plants and eat them and that eating plants is healthy. It encouraged them to experiment to eat different things.
How successful was this kit in promoting student ability to identify vegetables? Chidrens' ability to identify plants grew as they watched them daily.
Having the Little Garden kit with everything we needed to grow was fantastic. It was very easy to use and my 5 year olds could use the kit themselves. They could watch changes each day and also look after their plant as it grew.

What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? We managed to link this to maths (measurement), literacy, science skills like observing and noticing etc. It was great!

In what ways has this kit improved student awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? Children are noticing the vegetables in their own lunch boxes and others. Some children are beginning to bring more vegetable snacks to school.
