In what ways has this kit improved student awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? Talked about how much energy is needed to create a vegetable/fruit. How successful was this kit in promoting student ability to identify vegetables? A lot of new vegetables and plants were researched and found. Many of my tamariki were not sure of quite a few of the plants before this kit.
My kids loved choosing a plant to grow and being able to show kaitiakitanga by caring for it and providing it with what was needed for it to thrive. Once sprouted, we planted the seedling in our māra, hopefully they grow big and strong and we can use the produce for garden to table in the future!

My tamariki and myself love the Little Garden Kit. The potting and caring for our little garden certainly aligns with our Uara, Manaakitanga. It was great to see the tamariki become kaitiaki and showing a real engaging interest in our Little Garden.
