This is the 2nd time I have used this kit and it was still amazing. Our students loved learning about the secret club, joking it, cracking the codes and of course planting the little gardens. Every day they were eager to come in and water their plants and loved playing vege patch match

How effective was this kit in promoting healthy eating in your classroom?
In what ways has this kit improved student awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? By making them aware of veges and herbs they haven’t heard from before. Growing their own adds ownership to them as well.
How successful was this kit in promoting student ability to identify vegetables? Yes! Not a whole lot of knowledge in my class. The stickers and characters helped with engagement learning the vege names.
My new entrant class enjoyed this kit. I’ve previously done this kit with year 1/2s so it was nice to see the children experience it at different levels. They loved seeing the mailbox arrive and submit their applications. At this age I needed to fill out a lot of the text answers for them. Maybe look at a more simple version for new entrants? They all loved seeing the soil grow as they added water. Some needed reminding to plant the seeds during the process and one child broke their soil container as they planted their seeds by using a bit too much pressure. They enjoyed seeing them germinate and it fitted in well to our inquiry of solids, liquids and gases through the water cycle.
