This kit was amazing. The children have enjoyed the planting of the seeds and are watching daily to see if anything has started growing. The activities and game were great for the age of the kids in my class (6 and 7 years olds).

kids loved it. Lots of talking and learning about plants and vegetables.

In what ways has this kit improved student awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? Students were more open to trying new veges after discussing with their peers which veges everyone enjoyed the most (funnily enough their was a wide variety of favourites).
How successful was this kit in promoting student ability to identify vegetables? Many students learnt about a new vegetable they didn't know existed.
My class really enjoyed the whole LGL experience from the membership applications, code cracking, seed planting and learning about photosynthesis and how a seed growths!

In what ways has this kit improved student awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? I probably didn't link this as well as I could have, but the students were definitely excited to be growing their own vegetables to eat. We are lucky that for the majority of our students healthy eating is a part of their everyday life.
How successful was this kit in promoting student ability to identify vegetables? Although we didn't look at specifics of names of different vegetables, we identified root veges and veges that grow above the ground. We also looked a little at herbs and edible flowers (and touched on how growing flowers promotes bees to pollinate plants
We loved it! It's created so much curiosity and in particular my class went down the path of -why do different seeds take different amounts of time to germinate. We also looked at plants that grow above the ground and below the ground, as well as the difference between popcorn and sweet corn.

In what ways has this kit improved student awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? They are very aware of the fact that we need to have vegetables every day, and that food that has been living is the most nutritious.
How successful was this kit in promoting student ability to identify vegetables? Huge. Lots of children had very limited knowledge about vegetables and their names. They enjoyed playing the game where they had to identify the vegetables.

In what ways has this kit improved student awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? Children in our school are generally well informed about healthy eating but they had great fun in growing their own.
How successful was this kit in promoting student ability to identify vegetables? some vegetables were unknown to the children beforehand eg daikon radish so great
Loved all of the vegetables that the children were able to talk about. The cardboard house was a bit useless but it was great to get the children out clearing the school garden then planting their new plants.
