“We received this kit just prior to lockdown and my class were super excited to be exploring it. Our inquiry focus is tuurangawaewae, so it is a perfect fit for exploring how we can create more nature spaces - and native spaces in our school. One of my students told me yesterday that he was looking forward to returning to school so that we could plant the kowhai seeds and explore the soil ph. So...even after 6 weeks of not being at school, our very preliminary look at the kit has sparked enthusiasm from one very eager young man.”

“Although we weren't able to use it yet due to covid-19, we are planning on integrating it with our topic of Antarctica. Our plans will be to use the localness of the kit to compare habitats and look at environmental adaptation of animals. We also will explore the enviro side of looking after our local environment.”
