What would you say the impact of this kit has been on your students? I think the best use of the kit was the hunt for information. They were able to make links from the hard pack to digital media and other library and YouTube sources.

Which resources were most engaging and most useful to students? 100 engagement in all areas. In fact a lot of them were kee to do this k stead of any other learning in their day!

“This was a great topic that bought history to life. We had extensive discussions and parents/grandparents were interested as it was their era. One of the kids great uncle has written a book on his experience with operation Grapple and she shared that book with us. We were able to view other counties views towards NZ and comapare it to how we are viewed now. Kids were interested in the Rainbow Warrior story as most had not heard of it before.”

“An Awesome resource, the ready made materials physical / digital allowed engagement from all students. The reading materials such as poems allowed us to add in cross curricular activities and explore more in detail. It was a full on pack, that has a large number of resources and has taken many weeks to decipher and go through with our class. It has allowed all learners to have a range of activities and be able to be collaborative alongside each other.”

I think they are now more aware of the stance that NZ has taken and how difficult this must have been at the time with the opposing views on nuclear, and that NZ stood up for what they believed to be the right thing for us, and that's a 'pretty cool thing

They did really enjoy placing the tickets on the poster and working out where they should go. But they also enjoyed researching more info about their item. Actually, they especially loved the postcards
