How did this kit build awareness and understanding of the NZ Navy and it's contributions to our history?
As we are from Central Otago - we haven't really had much interaction / knowledge of the Navy. However the children really engaged with the site and understanding the importance of their role in the Pacific and nuclear free stance.

What would you say the impact of this kit has been on your students?
It showed that normal / ordinary people can make a difference. They can be listened to and when something is important like minded people come together and be a 'voice'. That NZ has led the world in a few ways- nuclear free and Suffragettes.
Which resources were most engaging and most useful to students?
Loved the artefacts and physical resources. The website - all in one place, spotify, etc... Something for everyone . Children liked the videos of early sailors and their life.
