It has a lot of resources and materials for the students to utalise and use during their learning with this Kit. The support material as a teacher was quite difficult to wrap my head around initially. The student website was also hard for my students to work through and wasn't as intuitive as I was expecting. Most did work out after a few tasks and then were able to independently work through this without support.

How has this kit motivated you to explore the history or your local area? Could you use this model? Using the model of this kit, we are able to explore our own local area using focal areas to get students exploring why our area came to be. This process had already begun in our school but was able to be built upon with the help of this kit.

What was the impact of knowing the stories in this kit were developed in collaboration with their iwi/whānau/community? It was great to hear that this kit was created in collaboration with local iwi. As a history teacher as well as a Social Science teacher it is vital that these perspectives are included. Students were able to understand local iwi's views on certain topic.

Overall I found this kit both informative and interesting for my students. The were very engaged in learning about the different stories in different areas around Aotearoa. I really hope that there is a part two to this kit and can't wait to see what other stories they explore.

The kit had some incredible resources that were high interest and initiated lots of discussion and research from the students. My only concern was the complexity of the cards and the wheel. This kit was not as easy to follow as previous ones I have used. I know the kit was super valuable but keeping it simpler for teachers is important especially regarding time.

I cannot find the words to say how amazing this kit is or how many different aspects of learning our students got from it. The students thoroughly enjoyed this and got so much from it. Research skills, reading photographs, looking at artefacts as well as learning about local history and how it can build up a story.

This is the best school kit resource ever and needs to be rolled out to all schools! We adapted and scaffolded for our 70 Year 4 tamariki who were 100% engaged in putting the pieces to their postcard puzzles together. We had whānau involvement who supported excited tamariki at home with their research and lots of questions being asked around"what voice is missing". This kit gave us the beautiful opportunity to teach our multicultural community about the history of the country we all call ours.

Overall the kit was really well put together. The resources were high quality and thought provoking. There was a lot of reading in the online information which really challenged my less capable readers and in some cases put them off a little. I loved that there was a wide variety of online sources including photos and newspapers. There was a wide variety of different topics to pick from, although apparently nothing happened in Southland, some history a little closer to home would have been good. I also liked that there were topics that are not necessarily the common or popular topics

The History Kit is VERY comprehensive, great resources. At first I did find the kit very overwhelming and hard to teach but as time went on we navigated through it together. I do feel it is better suited to Year 7 & 8.

This kit had so much information and resources in it. I was actually away for the first 3 weeks of this term. The teacher that was in my class was able to use the kit with ease to kickstart our inquiry learning. There were certain learning activities that we zeroed in on. The wheel with learning and activities made things easy to sort and use. This kit will be used again and again in the future.
