We dug into the history of our local area before using this kit and it is part of our teaching already, but the way this was structured in the kit has provided a way that we could model our teaching.

Knowing that the stories came from iwi/community and and had an authentic voice behind them, often one that isn't publicised or rarely told, meant that there was more engagement and learning taking place.
