“The Aotearoa NZ Histories kit was fabulous. I love receiving the hands on artifacts which the students always find fascinating. The support/extension given in the online resource is also great as we are a BYOD school. The cards were a great way to introduce a topic or theme and create a lot of discussion around this. A wonderful resource which can be used again and is related directly to our new Refresh documents which are beginning to be implemented in NZ schools. Thank you”

The stories were presented in such an accessible way and looked at many different perspectives. We were only able to look at a few of the stories so am keen to explore the rest.

“The structure of the kit was excellent for our students. We were able to built weekly task books at a range of levels for the students. The mix of research, reading, and hand ons tasks really appealing. They led to some robust classroom discussions.”

“My class were so excited with this kit that they immediately laid out all items inside and set to scripting a dramatic history of the Waikouaiti area, complete with maps, stolen gold from the gold rush days, and villains as well as characters such as famous local John ('Johnny') Jones. For my part, I found a lot of the news articles very interesting. This has spilled over into this term's inquiry on Otago History, and local stories. We are still using this kit.”
