“We used this resource and others (from School Kit) to create a performance showing how Aotearoa was discovered (pe European), how people flourished and then the settlers came. I shared with Emma when she came to visit. It really opened up a lot of learning about our history an the kids LOVED it.”

How has this kit impacted your confidence in delivering the new Aotearoa NZ's histories curriculum content? I will utilise this resource in future lessons about NZ history. I would have appreciated more Māori content but I managed to translate some of the resources sent.
How has this kit motivated you to explore the history or your local area? Could you use this model? We need to access key people with this knowledge. We know some stories but there is a lot more I would like our tamariki to know. This kit has helped start the conversations.
