How has this kit impacted your confidence in delivering the new Aotearoa NZ's histories curriculum content? low- I really struggled for a beginning point, the resources did look amazing but I need a simple and clear process made available.

How has this kit motivated you to explore the history or your local area? Could you use this model? Taking the process and applying it in local context is exactly how we will grow critical thinking within our rangatahi. Being able to speak truth to power is a quality that we want to nurture in our kids.

How has this kit impacted your confidence in delivering the new Aotearoa NZ's histories curriculum content? This toolkit is awesome. I've been really impressed with the way it was put together. I was part of the unteach racism pilot and that was transformative with myself and my akonga.

“I loved the resources. The planning tools were awesome. I was able yo weave the toolkit through my teaching. I was also able to share how I planned using arcgis storymaps and 'something happened here' resources with Social Studies teachers at Soccon 2022”

How has this kit impacted your confidence in delivering the new Aotearoa NZ's histories curriculum content? It gave me the inspiration to make it fun and creative but with a critical lens. It gave me better understanding of how the new curriculum can work and be inclusive of different view points.

How has this kit motivated you to explore the history or your local area? Could you use this model? Next year I hope to use the skills and strategies that students have learned to expert some local stories

Which of the following archives were you aware of and using with your students prior to kit? Digital NZ, NZ On Screen, National Library, RNZ

How has this kit impacted your confidence in delivering the new Aotearoa NZ's histories curriculum content? This is the most fantastic starting point - my kids love out and are so interested and I am confident that I can deliver learning experiences that they can use throughout their lives to find information and be critical thinkers.
