Did you Encounter Stories You Didn't Know Before?
yes
How effective was the student facing website (somethinghappenedhere.co.nz) for your learners?
How effective were the Teacher Support Materials in the School Kit Squad website?
How has this kit impacted your confidence in delivering the new Aotearoa NZ's histories curriculum content?
The kit has offered a wonderful resource of images and frameworks to assist with the teaching of primary sources. The students were engaged and interested in the stories and we have now eaten our way through the entire selection of Griffiths biscuits - just to make sure we knew what they tasted like! The ability to offer different perspectives and to hear the students reacting to older video footage and the commentary has made them much more aware.
How has this kit motivated you to explore the history or your local area? Could you use this model?
Yes, we are creating our own google site with each student contributing their own card to it.
