“The kit provided new information from areas in NZ that some of our students belonged to but hadn't known about. It engaged whanau as well as they were interested in the stories from other parts of NZ and from other cultures. It prompted the class to then start to investigate stories from our own area. This is to be our focus for term 3.”

“This was a great but quite overwhelming kit. So many resources but incredibly jam packed it was almost hard to navigate. The kids enjoyed the tasks we did but we only used a few resources in the pack. Thank you.”

“This resource was highly engaging for my class of Year 8's. The hands-on practical element was excellent for promoting discussion and curiosity. We used this in conjunction with the online 'something happened here' website and it promoted rich learning. Overall an excellent resource for senior students.”

“Great range of resources. The students (and kaiako) loved looking at all the different bits and pieces from long ago. The postcards, photographs, pictures and other resources were very informative and the students were very interested. I found that there was a bit too much information online about the lessons - which I found quite confusing - I wasn't sure were to go first.”
