How has this kit impacted your confidence in delivering the new Aotearoa NZ's histories curriculum content? The kit can be a great starting place to discover contexts for teaching or it can enrich the teaching already done in class.

How has this kit motivated you to explore the history or your local area? Could you use this model? The variety of stories means schools/kura in any context can find a connection. We loved the story of the protest at Rugby Park in Hamilton as it is just down the road from our school.

“The Aotearoa New Zealand Histories Kit has lots of awesome images and artefacts that make students feel like real historians. Unfortunately, we were not able to enjoy the full extent of the kit due to time constraints - however I feel like the kit can be utilised in a huge variety of ways to suit the needs of any classroom and context.”

How has this kit impacted your confidence in delivering the new Aotearoa NZ's histories curriculum content? The kit has provided a range of jumping off points for discussions and provocations when teaching the histories curriculum. It has helped me expand my subject knowledge tremendously.

How has this kit motivated you to explore the history or your local area? Could you use this model? Our goal next year is to bring more local stories to life and connect with the local history more. The kit will be invaluable for that.
