How has this kit motivated you to explore the history or your local area? Could you use this model? Absolutely. We didn't have time this year but I would allow more time for this in future units.

“This kit ignited curiousity amongst my Year 5 & 6 learners. It was the perfect resource for our Exploring phase of our Inquiry learning in Term 2. We were already learning about Aotearoa NZ History and this kit expanded our research immensely. Through the provocations, students were eager to learn more and find out about the stories.”

“I teach a targeted class so we used the resources on a once-weekly basis as a launch into the different stories generated by the postcard. This worked well for a group that needed more time on a resource. The reading differentiation was useful but even some of that was pitched too high for some of the learners. They required some extra support.”
