“This was amazing. My class really loved using the pepeha to try and "crack" the location and the postcards and artefacts were fantastic with promoting discussion and asking questions. The stories and website were fantastic and easy to use. (awesome clips and support resources) I loved using this resource and my students were engaged and highly interested. There was so much to explore and investigate - more than a term's work.”

How has this kit motivated you to explore the history or your local area? Could you use this model? Will use as part of extended ANZH inquiry unit. Yes this would be a viable learning tool to use. I'm comfortable leading learning around ANZH, and this unit adds to the my learning and teaching kete.

“We have been diving in and out of this resource since getting it and have found so many different avenues that the students can go down. The videos have been particularly successful with my students who find reading a challenge and they engaged more by listening to the interviews and stories. I will keep using this into next year with my next lot of students. The pictures and resources helped those students also who struggled to read as they could visualise the areas and people easier.”
