Did you Encounter Stories You Didn't Know Before?
yes
How effective was the student facing website (somethinghappenedhere.co.nz) for your learners?
How effective were the Teacher Support Materials in the School Kit Squad website?
How has this kit impacted your confidence in delivering the new Aotearoa NZ's histories curriculum content?
I was plesantly surprised that I was also able to teach part of the story from overseas and the connection to world events. This is important in my opinion, NZ is too small to only focus on the NZ part of a story. Our kids need to know how we connect with the wider world.
How has this kit motivated you to explore the history or your local area? Could you use this model?
So far we have only gone through one story as we were so captivated. I would look into the local history to see if any connection could be made to the people and brands we studied.
How significant was the impact of this kit on your confidence in delivering the Aotearoa NZ's histories curriculum content?
How would you rate your knowledge of the new Aotearoa NZ histories curriculum content prior to using this kit?
What was the impact of knowing the stories in this kit were developed in collaboration with their iwi/whānau/community?
I knew that the accounts would not have been doctored, they would be true accounts.
