“It is a great resource, but maybe for year 6 and up, and for schools with more devices. We found it difficult as we had enough device for 1 between 2 or 3. I think you need more time to do the research than wat we had. Looking forward to using the kit again in the future, to be able to use it to its full potential.”

“The resources in the kit and the website are produced to a high quality. The website is easy to use and the summary/content of each section for different years levels is clear and engaging. Our students were interested in the topic and the research activities were well thought out and provoked a lot of discussion. However, much of my Year 5 class couosnt carry out these tasks independently and i spent a lot of time trying to devise the best ways to present them and make them accessible. For example, they were asked to look up the names of people who moved to NZ for the gold rush on papers online to see where they came from. The search came up with loads of results and even i found it hard to sift through them all and find the ones we needed. It was also hard to read some of the original sources, due the small type size, especially the ads in the Greymouth papers for the task about the rapid growth of Greymouth.”
