“We are a special school, our high school ORS students found this kit very engaging and enjoyed the hands on learning approach. The diagrams and video tutorials were very helpful but some students found the copper tape tricky to work with. They also had more difficulty with the glow worm activity and some suggested a video tutorial for the trickier pages would be helpful.”

What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? We linked writing explanation texts to this kit - the students wrote an explanation of how a circuit works and included a scientific drawing to this.

What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? Continuing to explore conductivity is a next step. The students were also really interested in where NZ sources it's electricity from.

What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? There is so much literacy in the kit especially during the initial find section. Students took notes and then used these to support learning during the apply and produce aspects.

What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? Students are eager to try to create their own circuits and we have timed this with christmas to produce student designed cards.
