“I loved this kit as it focused on the positive side of building new relationships. The children love to complement each other and choose different children to play with. My class was formed from two classes so they were in two very separate groups at the start of the year. The playful lunch helped them join together as one.”

“Students have really enjoyed this kit. The Play Project booklets and concept has been a definite favourite. I found that they needed to embark on the idea of the play project in class a few times before I let them do it 'independently out in the playground. It was great to timetable some positive play in class prior to introducing it during other break times where I wasn't necessarily managing it. It worked so well and students made connections with students in their class that they wouldn't normally have played with as it gave them the chance to find a common ground and connect with others.”

“Our class have enjoyed exploring the Respectful Relationships kit. The class battery has been amazing, the tamariki have enjoyed checking it throughout the day to see if it needs 'charging'. The Play Lunch booklet has given the children a chance to recognise how others are feeling and it has also allowed them to make more of a connection with children that they would not normally play with. There are so many opportunities for the tamariki to learn more about respectful relationships in authentic ways.”
