“This kit was amazing and integrated smoothly into our terms inquiry of What is under the sea? The children thoroughly enjoyed cleaning up our school and looking closely at the different types of rubbish. Students were so amazed at the different types of rubbish found and were so proud of themselves to be doing something that was helping our environment.”
“Great kit - my new entrants did a neighbourhood walk and filled up 4 clean sacks of rubbish! They loved it so much and are now very aware of where rubbish goes. One did ask today when we were going to the beach to pick up the rubbish so the fish don't die! A pity that the cleaners took all the rubbish away before we had a chance to sort! It tied in very well with our community inquiry topic. it gave them a good learning opportunity in keeping their streets clean.”
“We loved this kit so much, even though it made us a little sad to see all the rubbish that could end up in our waterways. Kiwi class decided we needed to take action and have been looking at selling some bin clips to our community. Thanks so much school kit for this amazing kit.

“This kit tired in perfect ly to what our class had been doing in term 3 (via Squawk Squad) for conservation week. The class were really engaged in every aspect of this kit, and thoroughly enjoyed looking at our local waterways which lead to the ocean. The content was very relevant, and the resources were spot on for our Yr3/4 kids. The rubbish bags and gloves for clean up day were a huge hit with the class, and very practical. We have reused both things time and again since our clean up day.
Overall, really pleased we got to be part of this and helped to make a change in our local area.”
“We live in TaupÅ, far from the sea. The children were totally engaged in seeing the impact on fish life of dropping rubbish in our school playground. We cleaned up our local reserve where we go for Bush School, and our own school. The children were outraged at what others are dropping, and continue to spread the word. This was a good kit to reinforce our school CORE values or respect and ownership.”
“The children loved this kit. It tied in well with our term concept and Drains to Harbour. Our most interesting find was an old wheel hub cover. The children have continued clean ups around their community. A wonderful experience.”
“Awesome kit, we did this with our buddy class students working tuakana-teina. Collaboratively and cooperatively. Students cleaned up spa park which leads down to the Waikato river. Students found lots of dog poo in doggie bags dumped in bushes!!!”
