Hi there, I am very pleased with how this kit supported our learning about the issue of waste in our oceans. The gloves were great &; even the follow up activity of the sea creatures with rubbish in their tummys - great visual. Overall we loved the kit and it felt good to get out there and clean up our road. The kids were so excited and felt very professional with their 'sea cleaner' paper bags and gloves. They begged to keep them so they could continue picking up rubbish on their way to and from school. A great learning experience and we thank you very much for giving us that opportunity!

The resources were brilliant. Each child had a glove for our beach clean up as well as bags to collect it in. We have 80 children in our small school. they were very appreciative of them. The posters in the kit helped children develop the awareness as to just how many beautiful creatures are affected by careless disposal of rubbish. They have also discussed how much fun it was at the beach and that they want to keep if beautiful. We sorted the rubbish when we returned to school using the analysis chart in the kit. This generated some wonderful discussion. This resource continued to motivate learners after our beach trip. We have also done messages in bottles (not real ones) based on what we think the world should be aware of...Keep the Sea Rubbish Free was used a lot! Thanks so much for the opportunity to use your resources :) :)

Our class was very engaged in this learning and completed the activities thoughtfully.

Sea Cleaner Kit was good in that it included gloves for picking up rubbish and activities to do with it after. The hard part about the kit was the planning bit on the school's part for parent helpers - we had to opt for cleaning school grounds.

Loved the resource and the positive environmental footprint it has on our planet. The timing was a little off for us as we had planned it for early in the term and had organised parents (which is really difficult in our community). Unfortunately because of the late delivery, we could only muster one parent help so 15 students ended up cleaning the Wairau Valley waterways. They did well though, collecting 739 bits of rubbish. Thanks so much for the opportunity - as always your resources provide opportunities for our students that they otherwise would not have. Lara Syddall

One of the best kits I've used to date. The students were into it from the start. While we looked at different parks and waterways one student suggest we clean up after our annual Mission Day Gala. They saw the poster advertising water balloon throwing and expressed their concern for the balloons getting picked up by the wind and floating out to sea. The Sea Cleaners Kit exposed myself and the students to the journey of the waterways for plastics to the sea. One of the proposals from our students is to continue to use the Kleensaks for our class rubbish bins instead of the current black plastic bags. I will be wanting to use this kit again and in fact would love this to be a whole school initiative.

My class always LOVES the kits we get. We feel very lucky that these are so generously provided for our learning and development in many areas! We want to say a BIG BIG thank you!

We got the SeaClean kit and used it to support our wider inquiry into protecting our oceans for the future. The kit was complete and comprehensive. Plenty of gloves for the kids and the visual organisers really helped to unpack where the rubbish comes from and where it needs to go. We cleaned up the gardens in a neighbouring apartment complex where many of our students live. They were amazed at what we found! Great to have cotton gloves as we talked about sustainability and reusing materials.
