This resource was amazing. The students really understood the message behind the kit and cleaning up around our local stream was a real eye opener for them. Thank you so much for being given the opportunity to use the kit. The resources will be treasured and shared with our next years students too. Have a great Christmas. You guys do an amazing job!!

This fit in so well with our inquiry topic of sustainability. Our children learnt all about the ways in which they can help our environment with a special focus on rain forests and the ocean. It was great to be able to put our learning into action and do a beach clean up on our visit to the beach for beach education.

Our class has been looking at sea creatures for our inquiry topic and this kit fit in perfectly. It was detailed and provided all needed equipment. The kids had a great time learning about how they could help the homes of the creatures we had been learning about.

We had the sea cleaners kits. Our school of 515 students have been going to our local estuary to learn about our local environment and to look at the animals that live their as part of our schools science focus. We were able to combine this with a sea / estuary clean up thanks to the school kit sea cleaners kit. This added another dimension to our estuary visit and enabled us to focus on teaching the students about being Kaitiaki. We are very appreciative for the efforts school kit make on our behalf. We didnt find as much rubbish as we thought we would - which was pleasing - however we did find some, and we realised the impact this would have on the creatures living in the ocean. We took the learning back to the classroom and did some follow up work which involved looking at some very sad videos of oceans affected by rubbish, and marine life also impacted by rubish. Our students were very proud of the cleanup. The best find was an old rusty anchor. I have attached some photos - please dont use these publically. However I havent been sent the photos of the children actually doing the clean up - Im waiting on some parents to forward them to me (Hopefully i can send these soon)

My class had a great time with this school kit activity. We did a trip to the local beach and the students had a fantastic hands on experience picking up more rubbish than we expected. Interestingly we only had 1 plastic bag, which goes to show the ban might be working. Thankyou school kit! :D The students are certainly eager to help those sea creatures after this!

What a visual way for students to see the impact on rubbish in the ocean, students were in awe of how bad it is. They actively picked up rubbish and completed fantastic pieces of writing and a visual mural of a clean and not clean ocean. Thank you so much for the opportunity to engage with this project, it provided great resources and themed ideas :-)

Thanks so much for this awesome kit! This kit was literally 'hands on' and gave the kids a close up understanding of the amount of rubbish and damage we are causing. I truly believed it changed their thinking as they are now so much more aware of the rubbish they generate. We have set up litterless lunches and taken away our 'rubbish' bins at eating times. We now use a compost bin and that is all, all other rubbish goes home but to be honest, that has helped with the litterless lunches!! Keep doing the great work you do and thanks so much!!!
