What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? Social Sciences and looking at the way that different cultures and places respect and use their waterways. Maths and creating statistical investigations around rivers. Literacy through report writing.

What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? So amazing for children to have the experience out cleaning up their local whenua. There were links to reading, writing, numeracy, physical education and health/wellbeing.

What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? It would have been really awesome to have some wee glass jars or containers or even small paper bags for children to choose one or two treasures to take with them. Or for us to be able to collect a few in a jar to take back to school to examine more close
